Young RWCMD
We offer a nurturing, creative space for young people to explore and develop their individual talents and skills needed to fulfil their full potential.
We’re committed to developing the talent of young people and providing the skills needed for the future of the creative industries with its huge economic, social, cultural and political benefits for Wales. Our work with under-18s is continually being developed and can be a fun way to explore the performing and creative arts in an empowering environment
Immersive music workshops
Supported by the Mosawi Foundation, we are running a series of weekend immersive music workshops designed to inspire participation from beginners through to emerging professionals.
The National Open Youth Orchestra Ensemble Residency (NOYO)
In partnership with BBC NOW and Open up Music, NOYO is a world-pioneering inclusive orchestra where brilliant 11-25 year-old disabled and non-disabled musicians rehearse and perform together.
Schools and communities engagement:
The College has a deep commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of Wales and beyond. Significant engagement with schools and communities is embedded within our degree courses, including through partnerships with organisations addressing societal disadvantage/deprivation such as Making Music, Changing Lives in Ely, and the Oasis Centre in Splott.
Holiday courses in the production arts
We offer opportunities to explore Technical Theatre, Stage Management and Design for young people aged 11-18
