Safeguarding

At Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority.

Keeping you safe and well

We aim to

• provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children and adults at risk, where they can develop their full potential
• create a strong safeguarding culture within our organisation, so that parents and carers can be assured of the care their children receive
• ensure that our colleagues feel adequately informed and supported to take a confident, proactive part in sustaining the safeguarding culture within the organisation

Reporting concerns

Our Designated People for Safeguarding are the first point of contact for any concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or adult at risk.

These are:

• Kevin Price, Deputy Director of Music - kevin.price@rwcmd.ac.uk
• Allie Edge, Lecturer in Production and Design (Costume) - allie.edge@rwcmd.ac.uk

You can contact any one of these people to report your concerns.

The Lead Safeguarding Officer has overall responsibility for all safeguarding activity within the College. This is: Brian Weir, Director of Academic Administration and Student Experience - brian.weir@rwcmd.ac.uk
