About the open day


This open day covers the following courses:

  • MA Design for Performance
  • MA Stage and Event Management
  • MA Costume for Performance
  • MA Digital Media Design & Production
  • MA Lighting Design & Production
  • MA Production Management
  • MA Puppetry Design & Construction
  • MA Scenic Arts & Construction
  • MA Sound Design & Production

and has been planned around our termly Richard Burton Company performances so that you can see our design courses in action.

We want to support you in making an informed decision about where you want to study.

Registration - Please head to the Open Day registration desk in our Carne Foyer.

Meet the staff and students - An introduction to the College and the courses from Director of Drama and Head of Design, Sean Crowley, Head of Stage Management, Daz James, and some of our current Design and Stage Management students.

Campus tour - Take a student led tour where you'll get an exclusive look at our backstage areas, design spaces and workshops.

Q&A - Grab a coffee in our Carne foyer and ask your questions to Sean, Daz and the team.

Halls of residence - Take a stroll to Severn Point, RWCMD's halls of residence, where the team will be waiting to show you around.

Llanishen Workshop drop-in - Make your way over to our state-of-the-art workshop in Llanishen for a guided tour (Design applicants only).

Performance - Watch our performance of 'Amélie: The Musical' and see our students in action.

From 2pm you are welcome to stay around for our Classical Cafe at 6pm (a free event) or book your tickets for Amélie: The Musical.

We ask that you please keep to a maximum of 1 guest per prospective student attending the open day.
