Rhys Archer

Year of graduation: 2025

Rhys Archer, a tenor from North Wales is currently in his first year of postgraduate study under the tutelage of Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts. Rhys has worked with Welsh National Youth Opera on a recording of Hedd Wyn by Stephen Mcneff and with Opera Cymru in a film version of Un Noson Ola Leuad by Gareth Glyn. Previous stage experience includes Remendado in Bizet’s Carmen and Orpheus in Gluck’s Orpheus and Euridice (Cardiff Uni Opera).

Recent concert highlights include performing as a guest soloist with London Concert Orchestra celebrating the music of Hans Zimmer and John Williams.

Passionate about community music, Rhys works with the Aloud charity to celebrate and promote Welsh choral singing for young people.
