It was in the field of chamber music and song that John Ireland first made his name as a composer, and these remained the genres in which he was most at home throughout his career. The college is delighted to welcome back the John Ireland Prize, giving our students the opportunity to collaborate in performances of the music of this quintessential chamber master, culminating in a public final for both ensemble and vocal performers.

How do you tell if the path is going forwards or backwards? This brand new multi-disciplinary work combines a cast of dancers, musicians, electronic sound, and visuals to unravel the tale of the seasons. Inspired by Monet and the impressionist art movement, golden summers and autumn sun give rise to reflection and nostalgia.
