Ian has started his career as a venue technician, but has worked in all roles in the theatre sound department, including Head of Sound, Production Sound Engineer, Associate Designer and Sound Designer for companies across the UK. He also spent a number of years in a support role working with large-scale touring musicals across the UK and internationally.
Ian has sound designed plays and musicals for companies across the UK, including; The RSC & Coventry City of Culture, Stockroom, Theatre Royal Bath, Sherman Theatre, and Theatr na nÓg. He has been Head of Sound and mixed a number of UK-wide musical tours. Ian has also worked as Sound Designer and Editor/Mixer on audio dramas, and for Guildford School of Acting to produce their filmed student showcases.
