Acting
Join a 13-week programme which gives you the option to concentrate on study in your area of interest in acting.
Joining the second year of the Undergraduate Acting programme at RWCMD, this programme provides 12 weeks of specialist tutoring including skills classes and project rehearsals.
The programme is scheduled to start in September (Autumn term) or January (Spring term) of each academic year.
120 UK credits are allocated across a year of study. The equivalent of 60 UK credits are available to a Study Abroad student who successfully completes a term of study at the College.
During your time here
Acting students will benefit from a holistic training through a range of practical skills classes each morning, whilst afternoons are dedicated to project rehearsals and exploration.
Skills classes may include:
- Movement (including Stage Combat)
- Voice, Speech, Text
- Audio
- Singing
- Foundations Studies, giving context and background to work covered in practical classes, including Contextual Studies, Professional Lab and Reflective Practice.
Project work may include:
- Shakespeare (Autumn Term 5 weeks)
- Collaboration (Autumn Term 5 weeks)
- Intensive Audio Project (Autumn Term 1 week)
- Performative (Spring Term 5 weeks)
- Acting for Screen (Spring Term 5 weeks)
- Intensive Acting Through Song Project (Spring Term 1 week)
Each term consists of two projects that will lead to a group sharing of the work.
English language requirements
Applicants who are non-native speakers of English are required to achieve IELTS 8.0 or equivalent, with no lower than 7.5 in listening and speaking and no lower than 6.5 in reading and writing.
Tuition fees
The tuition fees* for 2025/26 academic year are £9,250 per term
*tuition fees to do not apply to reciprocal exchange arrangements (eg Erasmus + / Taith mobilities)
