Box Office opening times

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday
9.30am – 4.30pm

On performance evenings, the Box Office will remain open up to 30 minutes after the start of the last performance. If there is a performance on Saturday or Sunday, the Box Office will open 1 hour prior to the start of that performance. The Box Office is situated in the main foyer.

Booking tickets

You can book tickets using our website or contacting the Box Office

Tickets can be purchased from our Box Office during Box Office opening hours. Messages left on the answering machine outside of opening hours and at busy periods will be dealt with as soon as possible.  We do not accept American Express.

Any orders posted will incur a postage fee of £1.75. Alternatively, tickets can be collected for free from the Box Office during opening hours or printed at home.

Exchanges and refunds

Tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets can be exchanged for alternative performances, subject to availability, and provided tickets are returned to us 24 hours before the event. We will also try to re-sell any unwanted tickets for sold-out performances, if tickets are returned to us 24 hours before the event and provided there is a waiting list to which tickets can be sold.

Concessions

Concessions apply to over 60s, students, ex-RWCMD students, under 16s and customers with a disability (you may be asked to provide ID upon purchase and/or collection). This may vary depending on performance. For the comfort of all patrons, we strongly advise that RWCMD performances are not suitable for children under 2 years (unless otherwise stated).

Arriving late for a show

During some performances, latecomers will not be admitted. You may be asked to wait for a suitable break in the performance before taking your seats. This will be at the Duty Manager’s discretion.

Gift vouchers

Everyone enjoys a great night out, which makes our Gift Vouchers the perfect present for family and friends. Available in any denomination, ask the Box Office for further information.

Unite students discounted events

Thanks to generous sponsorship from Unite Students, any student residing in their student accommodation in Cardiff is entitled to a £3 ticket to selected performances.

Tempo Time credits

Tempo is a registered charity which operates the Time Credit scheme that rewards members of the public who volunteer their time to the community. Volunteers earn credits at a rate of 1 hour to 1 credit. These credits can then be used at organisations such as RWCMD that are part of the Time Credit network.

You can spend your Time Credits on many of the performances taking place here, subject to availability. All we need is for you to provide 1 Time Credit for each seat you book. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept Time Credits on certain performances, our Box Office can provide further information.

Terms and conditions

  • Time Credits will be exchanged for tickets so please provide your Time Credits when booking.
  • If booking over the phone, Time Credits must be handed in at the Box Office on the day/evening of the performance.
  • Tickets purchased over the phone with Time Credits will not be posted out.
