Yu Haolei, tenor and soloist of Shanghai Opera House, graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music and studied under Professor Qu Ge. After entering Shanghai Opera House in 2009, he studied under the famous tenor Wei Song. He has won the first prize of the Shanghai region's bel canto group in the 10th Golden Bell Award vocal competition. He has played a major role in many Chinese and foreign operas such as ‘La traviata’, ‘Rigoletto’, ‘Nabucco’, ‘Der fliegende Holländer’, ‘Die Fledermaus’, ‘Carmen’, ‘Das Land des Lächelns’, ‘Tosca’, ‘Falstaff’, ‘Thunderstorm’, ‘Chen Zhong’ and ‘Jiang Jie’. He has performed in India, Singapore, Korea, Britain, Germany, France, Israel, Estonia and many other countries.
