Tomos Owen Jones

Tomos Owen Jones is a Welsh tenor and composer, whose vocal highlights have included performances with Welsh National Opera and at the Tête-à-Tête Opera Festival London. Recent competition successes include the Janet Price Opera Prize, the Manning Prize for Tenors and the Adelina Patti Prize for Bel Canto singing, and he is a founder member of vocal octet Solstice. Tomos' compositions have been premiered by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The National Eisteddfod, and Leeds Lieder, and he is an ORA Singers Graduate Composer for 2024.

Recent engagements: Il Principe, Respighi's La Bella Dormente Nel Bosco (RWCMD); Lysander, A Midsummer Night's Dream (RWCMD); Tenor Soloist, Finzi's Dies Natalis (Brecknock Sinfonia).

Tomos' is a Sybil Tutton Opera Award holder and his studies at Opera School have been generously supported by the Leverhulme Arts Scholarship, the Robert Maskrey Scholarship, the Hugh James Scholarship and a RWCMD Scholarship.
