Kathryn Forrest

Year of graduation: 2025

Scottish soprano Kathryn Forrest is a member of the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama studying with Anne Mason. In 2023 she graduated with distinction from their MMus Vocal Performance programme with Mabel Linwood Christopher Award. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Recent engagements include: Soprano soloist in Opera Blurgh (Chickenshed), Tales from the Shed & National Opera Studio Young Artists, Helena in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (RWCMD), Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (RWCMD) with conductor Carlos Rizzi, Sitâ (Cover) in Le Roi de Lahore (Massenet Dorset Opera Festival), Sister Antoine in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites (RWCMD), Dorothée in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Fife Opera), Papagena in Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Young Classical Artists, Edinburgh Fringe Festival)

Kathryn’s studies are generously supported by The Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir, the Leverhulme Trust, and RWCMD.
