Dudley Phillips is a self-taught musician working in the areas of jazz, ‘world music’ and contemporary song writing. He later won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music

Solo albums include ‘Life without Trousers’ and ‘BASSheARTMANtra’ (“Brilliant. Unique”- Robert Wyatt), Amy Winehouse ‘Will you still love me tomorrow’, Mark Lockheart ‘Moving Air’ and ‘Through Rose Coloured Glasses’, Mark Knopfler ‘Live in Berlin’ (official YouTube channel - 27 million views) and ‘Live in Zurich’ (Sky Arts).

He jointly won the Jazz FM ‘Live Performance of the year’ in 2018 with Orphy Robinson group.
