Elgar, Dvořák, Shostakovich and Philip Glass, four composers which despite their differing stylistic approaches, share a commitment to emotional expressiveness, national identity, and a transformative approach to music which left significant marks on both their own time and later generations. Our string performers take to the stage with RWCMD's String Quartet in Residence to showcase their work together over the past year.
