How to apply for an audition fee waiver at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama
UCAS Conservatoires calculates and collects RWCMD audition fees at the point of application. In order to apply for an audition fee waiver, you will need to:
Pay the audition fee as instructed on the UCAS Conservatoires application system and then submit your request for reimbursement with evidence that you meet the above requirement/s to the College’s Admissions email address (admissions@rwcmd.ac.uk) no later than one month after your audition. If your request for reimbursement is approved, we will contact you to OR arrange a refund of the audition fee. | |

You can apply to RWCMD for a waiver prior to submitting your application. Please submit your request for a fee waiver with evidence that you meet the above requirement/s to the College’s Admissions email address (admissions@rwcmd.ac.uk). We will email you to confirm whether the waiver has been approved. When applying for your course through UCAS Conservatoires you will reach an auditions payment screen. Please select the option to pay later by invoice (this is presented as an option for those unable to pay by card). The College will confirm the waiver with UCAS if you qualify, so your application can proceed without paying. |
If you do not apply for an audition fee waiver, or your application for a fee waiver is not approved by the College, you will need to pay your fee in advance of the audition. Failure to do so may result in your application being cancelled by UCAS Conservatoires. The College will not be able to arrange an audition for you until an audition fee has been paid, or a waiver agreed. Please note that we can only waive the College’s own audition fee, which in all cases means that you will still have to pay the UCAS application fee.
